Afton Houston Site Honored with Prestigious Safety and Community Awards

We are proud to announce that the Afton Houston site has been recognized by the Texas Chemistry Council (TCC) with three distinguished awards for its outstanding performance in safety and community engagement:

Zero Incident Award
This award honors facilities that achieved a Zero Incident Rate in 2024—meaning no OSHA recordable injuries or illnesses were reported among both company and contractor personnel.

Dr. Sam Mannan Award for Zero Process Safety Incidents
This accolade recognizes facilities with no Tier 1 or Tier 2 process safety incidents, reflecting a strong commitment to operational excellence and risk management.

2025 Caring for Texas Award
This award highlights member facilities that demonstrate leadership in community awareness, emergency response, sustainability, and pollution prevention. Facilities are evaluated based on performance during the previous calendar year.



These achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of the entire Afton Houston team. The awards were formally presented at the TCC-TCA Awards Banquet on the evening of Thursday, June 6, 2025, at the Galveston Island Convention Center in Galveston, Texas.
