Afton presenting at 2025 Responsible Care® and Sustainability Conference


Afton Chemical is gearing up to participate in the 2025 Responsible Care® and Sustainability Conference, which will be held from May 4th to 7th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a leading safety and sustainability conference in the chemical industry, this event provides professionals with valuable tools, resources, and insights to enhance their organizations' operational and environmental performance.


Benn Heatley, Afton's Global ESG Manager, will be part of a panel discussion titled " Harnessing Data for Informed Climate Strategy " on May 5th at 2:15 p.m. During this session, Benn will join panelists from Arcadis and Cabot Corporation to discuss product carbon footprints (PCF) methodologies, calculating and sharing information to inform sustainable product design and GHG reduction strategies, and approaches to help identify opportunities and track GHG reductions over the product life cycle. The chemical industry has a pivotal role in advancing renewable energy adoption, reducing carbon emissions, and fostering strategic partnerships.

Benn will highlight strategies to effectively utilize PCF data, discussing the importance of selecting appropriate PCF methodologies and data-sharing protocols to maintain comparability and accuracy. Additionally, he will cover how leveraging PCF data can help make informed decisions about product lifecycles, ultimately creating a positive downstream impact.
