Characterization of Gasoline Fuels in a DISI Engine
As market penetration of direct injection engines increases, so does the interest in understanding deposits. Do different fuels have different deposit forming tendencies? Are deposit control additives effective?SGS and Afton Chemical have collaborated to take a deep dive in understanding a range of engine, fuel and deposit control additive effects. This paper looks at a recently proposed CEC direct injection gasoline fuels test based on the VW 1.4 “twin charger” engine.
