In Indonesia’s mining sector, where B35 biodiesel is widely used, fuel-related issues have become increasingly severe. Fleets are experiencing blocked filters, dirty injectors, and rising maintenance costs that disrupt operations and increase downtime.
To address these challenges, Afton partnered with a major mining fleet to conduct a real-world field trial using our Greenclean™ 4 technology. The trial delivered measurable improvements across the fleet, including a three percent increase in fuel efficiency, significantly longer filter life, and noticeably cleaner injectors. These improvements translated into nearly $680,000 in savings and a 1.96% reduction in total cost of ownership.
This video shares the journey from identifying the problem to achieving meaningful, on-the-ground results. It demonstrates why additized diesel has become essential for maintaining reliable performance in high biodiesel environments.
