Application

HiTEC® 34500 multi-vehicle automatic transmission fluid (ATF) additive package is Afton’s latest technology designed to formulate ATF for retail and installer transmission markets where one fluid has to be both OEM certified and meet the requirements of the majority of the US vehicle population.

Finished ATF fluids formulated with HiTEC® 34500 in appropriate base oils can be marketed as fully approved DEXRON®-VI and MERCON® LV fluids for in-warranty GM and Ford vehicles by oil marketers holding a valid license. Such fluids are also recommended for applications requiring JASO 1A-LV performance ATF.

OEM approved ATF is a significant sector of the USA and global ATF market with GM and Ford producing more than 33% of the vehicles sold in the USA annually. Contact your Afton Chemical representative for more information on OEM license options.
