ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) has evolved significantly over time, its formulation style reflecting the changing demands of transmission hardware. The launch of GM’s (General Motors) landmark DEXRON® – VI fluid specification, which celebrates its 20th birthday in 2025, heralded a new age of high-performance, low-viscosity ATF.
