Application

HiTEC® 553 Multifunctional Grease Additive is an ashless economic performance package that is designed to be used in fully-formulated, multipurpose greases suitable for use at higher temperatures. HiTEC® 553 provides good protection against extreme pressure and wear while also providing oxidation and corrosion resistance.

Recommended Dosage

Typical treat rates for HiTEC® 553 range from 2 to 4% wt. in greases depending on application. Please contact your Afton Chemical representative for specific recommendations. HiTEC® 553 is designed to meet NLGI’s GC-LB specification at 2.8% wt. in a suitable lithium complex base grease.
