Application

HiTEC® 18905 is a multifunctional diesel fuel additive formulated to provide improved winter operability in today’s diesel fuels and typical biodiesel blends. This additive boasts a proprietary blend of components that delivers superior CFPP performance, improved low temperature handling, wax antisettling performance and is formulated for adequate fluidity when stored above -5°F (-21°C). This product qualifies for the US A EPA CFR80.591A certification, meaning the product contains < 15 ppm (mg/L) sulfur. In addition to providing cold weather performance, HiTEC® 18905 also contains the following:

  • Diesel fuel detergent
  • Lubricity improver
  • Cetane improver
  • Deicer

HiTEC® 18905 should be added to the fuel at a temperature about 10-15°F above the fuel’s cloud point.

Recommended  Dosage

HiTEC® 18905 should be tested in targeted fuel for exact treat rate recommendations as fuels may vary by region. Typical treat rates for HiTEC® 18905 include:
  • 500 ppmv (1:2000)
  • 667 ppmv (1:1500)
  • 1333 ppmv (1:750)
