Characterization of Gasoline Fuels in a GDI Engine
As market penetration of gasoline direct injection engines (GDI) increases, so does the interest in understanding deposits. Do different fuels have different deposit forming tendencies? Are deposit control additives effective?
SGS laboratories and Afton Chemical have collaborated to understand a range of engine, fuel and deposit control additive effects. This paper looks at a recently proposed CEC direct injection gasoline fuels test based on the VW 1.4 “twin charger” engine.
