Afton’s diesel fuel stabilizers help maintain fuel integrity over longer periods of time.
Diesel fuel is often stored in large bulk tanks for extended periods. This is particularly true for home heating oil, which may sit in a tank for several months before being used.
Over time, poor fuel stability can cause sludge to build up in your system, and that can lead to plugged filters, increased engine deposits, fuel degradation and reduced storage capability. So, for fuels that may sit for long periods of time or have inherent stability issues (biodiesel blends, for example), there is a critical need for stabilizers to maintain fuel quality over time.
