Cetane Improvers

Afton’s cetane improver reduces ignition delay during combustion and hence improves diesel engine ignition.

Regulators and OEMs recognise that shorter ignition delay period leads to more complete combustion and a reduction in undesirable emissions.  Globally fuel specifications are being set with higher cetane number targets. 

For the refiner, using a cetane improver can improve refinery economics, improve flexibility, and will deliver a higher quality diesel fuel.
