Lower SO3 Emissions

GREENBURN® actively inhibits the conversion of SO2 to SO3, resulting in lower acid dew points.  And that means lower corrosion, particularly in the back end and in the air preheater.  And, lower acid dew points mean you can run the back end at a lower temperature, resulting in an efficiency gain as less heat is wasted out the stack.

Lower Opacity

Measured opacity is a function of both SO3 and particulate concentration.  We've already seen that GREENBURN® can lower SO3 concentration.  Since GREENBURN® also functions as a combustion catalyst, it helps burn more carbon out of the fuel, reducing particulates as well.
